Fall is here....

It has been so long since I have blogged & so much is happening. Taylor is officially in pre-school and doing really well. She likes her new teachers Ms. Brigilio and Mr. Franklin. Mr. Franklin plays guitar and knows Justin Roberts so she pretty much is hooked on him & Ms. Brigilio teaches her new things everyday. She also attends a drama class thru Emerald City Theater and they are working on a production of Where the Wild Things Are. I can't wait to see it. She also is in a dance class and gymnastics. Luckily two of them are thru the after school program so we don't have to take up all of our weekend time (Which of course is never enough time).

Taylor is talking non-stop. She loves to play teacher and read to 'her kids'. She also likes to tell us all what we are not doing correctly. She is a bit bossy. We are just getting ready for fall and hope to be enjoying the season in our great city!!! We took in our first Cubs game a couple of weeks ago and Taylor lasted till the top of the 8th. SHe was a trooper. She said the ballpark was too loud. Taylor loves to take Roxie for long walks and is getting to be quite the bike rider. We had to say bye to grandma and grandpa Donnelly for the season and can't wait till they come back. Taylor was very excited that they were going to visit the White House.

Here are some pics from our summer adventures.....

BBQ at Molly's

Justin Roberts @ Ravinia

Daddy & the girl

Playing in the lawn

We have been enjoying the great weather we've been having here in Chicago. Taylor loves the water. Last summer she wasn't too into it but this year it's a different story. Grandma has taken her to the pool and we have been visiting the beach. The 4th of July was fabulous and we had a great time with school friends at a BBQ and went to see Justin Roberts at Ravinia on Sunday. Taylor is a total groupie. She is very interested in their intruments and setting up & taking down the stage.

This week Taylor is "student of the week" & is so excited about it. She gets to show off her favorite toys and books to all of her classmates. She is having a great time with the summer camp events that happen at her school. Tennis is also going well.

Happy summer to all.....

                                    Justin Roberts

This weekend's weather was cold and wet.  However, we did get to play tennis and went to the Printers Row Lit Fest.  Lee was working at the fest & Taylor was so excited to see him there.  Justin Roberts was playing & Taylor had a great time looking at books and dancing.  We are groupies of Justin Roberts and probably will try to see him a few more times this summer.  We also visited the Harold Washington Library after the book fair.  Taylor also went to her 1st movie, UP!  She did great.  She was talking a bit and was a little scared but really enjoyed it.  We did too, a very touching movie:)

A great weekend had by all....

Arlington Park picnic with Kaitlyn & Grace

Lee & Taylor watching the horses

Climbing at the arboretum

Wading with the tad poles

Posing for the camera

This weekend was so nice.  I spent Saturday pampering myself and Lee took Taylor to the Morton Arboretum.  Taylor was so excited to spend the day with just her and daddy. She popped out of bed at 5:55am (yikes) and came to us and asked to go to the Arboretum.  She actually pronounced it very well.

Taylor is doing great in her new room.  She is now a Star Fish & her favorite thing to pretend is that she is the teacher and she gets to teach her kids.  I'll answer a question that I think she is asking me to have her tell me that she is not talking to me she is asking one of the kids.  Quite funny.  She still loves going to the park, riding her bike and just being outside.  She looks forward to Thursdays, when she spends the day with Grandma and Grandpa.  Last weekend Conner, her fav cousin, was over and we celebrated his 7th birthday.  I can't believe that he is already 7.  Taylor is obsessed with him and is his shadow.  She also talks about him all the time.  It's really touching to see how much she loves him.

Lee was in California visiting friends & Taylor has been missing him dearly.  She is very excited to go to the airport Monday & pick him up.

Our new blog

We have decided to create a new blog & hopefully this site works better than the last one.  It is the beginning of spring of 2009.  Wow, time is just flying by and we have been very busy trying to take it all in.  Taylor is now 3 going on 13.  She is doing great and still as happy as can be.  We just finished our 3rd tennis lesson & she seems to like it a lot.  I think she might have a crush on the one teacher.  We have recently decided to enroll her in pre-school in a private school in Chicago.  We have out grown the daycare and think she needs a bit more stimulation.  She finally is potty trained except for overnights. We'll have to start that transition soon.  We are looking forward to a great summer with a ton of activities to keep us busy.
